Biswa Odia Pariwar, a vibrant global community, actively participated in the Pravasi Bharatiya Divas held in Bhubaneswar from January 8th to 10th, 2025. The celebration, themed “Aama Athitya, Aama Parichaya” (Our Hospitality, Our Identity), showcased the rich culture and heritage of Odisha through captivating performances, exhibitions, and stories.
A highlight of the event was the traditional Odia sweets, Mitha and Pitha, which were lovingly prepared and served to over 4,000 delegates and an additional 10,000 family members and friends.
These sweets symbolized the warm hospitality and culinary traditions of Odisha and were enjoyed over three days, with the service extended for two additional days due to overwhelming appreciation.
On the eve of the celebration, Chief Minister Sj. Mohan Charan Majhi launched a book titled “Glorious Odisha”, which explores the state’s rich cultural, historical, and artistic heritage. Around 14,000 copies of the book were distributed to delegates, their families, and visitors, offering a glimpse of Odisha’s legacy to a global audience.
The event was a grand success, leaving a lasting impression on attendees and reinforcing Odisha’s identity as a land of vibrant culture and warm hospitality.
